The Madden gaming and EA Sports history through the years

The Madden NFL franchise as a whole is a football game developed by EA Tiburon. It was launched by EA Sports in 1999 for various platforms like PlayStation, Nintendo 64, and Microsoft Windows. Aspyr Media also released a version for Macintosh OS, making it the first football game ever adapted for Mac. In the first game of the 2000 season, the Dallas Cowboys face off against the Philadelphia Eagles. This Madden Cowboys vs. Eagles video is shown on the Macintosh.

Current Madden 2000 Game Updates

Cowboys vs. Eagles video is categorized as a football video game. It is the fourth 3D installment in the Madden NFL series and the second game in the franchise that does not feature John Madden exclusively on the cover in North America (the only other instance being Madden NFL '95). Typically, Madden is prominently featured on the cover, alongside a well-known image of Barry Sanders in an action shot in the background. The European PAL edition only displays Dorsey Levens on its cover. The introductory video in the CD-ROM versions includes an unnamed track by rapper Ludacris.

In 1999, EA Sports introduced Madden NFL 2000 for the 1999 Nintendo Game Boy Color. The Game Boy Color was a significant 8-bit handheld device launched by Nintendo. It boasted a bright color display (able to show as many as 56 colors at once), compatibility with original Game Boy titles, and was notably succeeded in 1999 by the eagerly awaited launch of Nintendo Pokémon Gold.

The rivalry between the Steelers and Ravens in Madden NFL 2000 is recognized as one of the most physically demanding and intense matchups in the NFL. Since the Ravens' inception in 1996, these vintage Madden retro rewind teams AFC North rivals have faced off multiple times each year in their quest for divisional supremacy. The Pittsburgh Steelers currently lead the all-time series with a record of 38–27, while the teams have split five fiercely contested playoff games.

Similarly, the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles engage in one of the most intense and frequently broadcast rivalries in the NFL. As divisional rivals in the NFC East, these two franchises have met over 130 times, with the Cowboys maintaining an all-time series advantage of 75 wins to 59 losses.
