Founded in 1984 by the late Pat Bowlen, the Denver Broncos Ring of Fame honors the players, coaches, and administrators whose remarkable contributions have shaped the franchise's success and lasting legacy in the NFL. Demaryius Thomas is the 38th individual to be inducted into the Ring of Fame and the 13th to receive first-ballot selection in the history of the franchise. He was honored during halftime of the Broncos' Week 7 matchup against the Giants on Sunday, October 19, 2025, as part of Alumni Weekend.

Denver's Mile High Salute

The "Mile High Salute" is a celebratory custom initiated by Broncos Pro Football Hall of Fame running back Terrell Davis, where Broncos players acknowledge the crowd with a salute following a touchdown. Metal flooring was installed in the stadium bowl of Empower Field at Mile High to enable fans to stomp their feet during significant moments, a tradition that originated at the original Mile High Stadium, known as bringing the Mile High Thunder.

The 1977 AFC Championship

In a remarkable game, Denver quarterback Craig Morton connected with Haven Moses for two touchdown passes, leading the Broncos to a 20-17 victory over the reigning NFL Champion Oakland Raiders, thus securing their inaugural Super Bowl appearance. The Broncos maintained possession of the ball for the last 3:08 of the game, granting Red Miller the AFC title in his debut season as head coach. The Denver defense, which ranked first in the NFL against rushing during the regular season, limited the Raiders to just 94 rushing yards.

Broncos Super Bowl 50 Reunion

The 2015 Denver Broncos secured their place in history with a commanding Super Bowl 50 victory, led by Peyton Manning, DeMarcus Ware, and Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller. With 1,000-yard receivers Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders, along with the legendary "No Fly Zone" secondary, featuring Aqib Talib, Chris Harris Jr., T.J. Ward, Darian Stewart, Bradley Roby, and others, the team's unyielding defense and veteran leadership characterized a championship season founded on resilience, unity, and excellence.
