Demaryius Thomas is the 38th individual to be inducted into the Ring of Fame and the 13th to receive first-ballot selection in the history of the franchise. He was honored during halftime of the Broncos' Week 7 matchup against the Giants on Sunday, October 19, 2025, as part of Alumni Weekend.
The "Mile High Salute" is a celebratory custom initiated by Broncos Pro Football Hall of Fame running back Terrell Davis, where Broncos players acknowledge the crowd with a salute following a touchdown. Metal flooring was installed in the stadium bowl of Empower Field at Mile High to enable fans to stomp their feet during significant moments, a tradition that originated at the original Mile High Stadium, known as bringing the Mile High Thunder.
In a remarkable game, Denver quarterback Craig Morton connected with Haven Moses for two touchdown passes, leading the Broncos to a 20-17 victory over the reigning NFL Champion Oakland Raiders, thus securing their inaugural Super Bowl appearance.
